Real answers to what we get asked most.
Why mushrooms?
Functional mushrooms produce compounds your body can't make on its own — beta-glucans, hericenones, triterpenes, and adaptogenic polysaccharides. These molecules support immune signaling, neuroplasticity, and stress response. We use seven of them, dual-extracted from fruiting bodies for maximum bioavailability.
Why pre/pro/postbiotics?
Functional mushrooms work alongside your microbiome — many of their polysaccharides are fermented by gut bacteria into short-chain fatty acids that support digestive and immune function. By including prebiotic acacia fiber, probiotic Bacillus subtilis DE111®, and postbiotic BPL1™ HT, we support the microbiome that helps process what you take. The synergy is the science.
Caffeine vs. Lion's Mane — what's the difference?
Caffeine blocks adenosine receptors — masking fatigue temporarily. Lion's Mane contains compounds (hericenones and erinacines) that stimulate nerve growth factor (NGF) synthesis in cellular and animal studies, supporting neuron maintenance and growth. Human studies show cognitive benefits over weeks, not minutes. One borrows energy. The other supports the system that creates it.
When will I feel it?
Functional mushrooms work at the cellular level, not as stimulants. Most users report subtle shifts in 2–4 weeks of consistent daily use — clearer focus, smoother energy, better digestion. If a supplement promises you'll feel it in an hour, they've added caffeine.
How does the gut–brain axis work?
Your gut produces over 90-95% of your serotonin and communicates with your brain through the vagus nerve. When the microbiome is imbalanced, mood, focus, and energy suffer. Shroombiosis supports both ends of the conversation — the brain (Lion's Mane, Cordyceps) and the gut (DE111®, BPL1™ HT, acacia fiber).
Why does dosage matter?
Clinical studies on functional mushrooms typically use 1,000–3,000mg per day of properly extracted material — varying by mushroom and outcome. Many supplements dose at 500mg of mycelium-on-grain, which industry analyses show contains 60–70% grain starch by weight. Bioactive compound concentration between mycelium-on-grain and fruiting-body extracts can differ by an order of magnitude. Every milligram in Shroombiosis is on the label, fully disclosed.

SHROOMBIOSIS FAQS
Frequently Asked Questions
We take a science-first approach to functional mushrooms.
What does that mean?
- Dual-extracted fruiting body only: We never use mycelium on grain or fillers — only the most potent part of the mushroom.
- Synergistic blends: We combine mushrooms with organic cacao, cinnamon, coconut milk, and clinically studied probiotics like Bacillus subtilis DE111® and BPL1™ HT for added gut and metabolic support.
- Transparency: We openly share what’s in our formulas, why we chose it, and how it benefits you. We read published research and dose our blends accordingly.
- Flexibility: Unlike premixed coffees, Shroombiosis is caffeine-free — so you can use it your way.
The result is a cleaner, more potent product designed for people who want science-backed mushrooms without compromise. If you dont believe us, compare our ingredients to other mushroom supplements and coffees.
No — Shroombiosis is not mushroom coffee. Our blends are 100% caffeine-free, so you can enjoy them anytime of day without jitters or crashes. We designed it this way so you can mix it into coffee, tea, smoothies, or just water — giving you full flexibility without adding extra caffeine on top of your daily routine.
Every ingredient in Shroombiosis is sourced to organic, vegan, and gluten-free standards. We're working through the formal third-party certification process now — it's a 12-18 month batch-based audit cycle that we want to complete properly rather than rush. In the meantime, every ingredient supplier provides documentation, and we publish our full ingredient list and dosages on the label so you can verify everything yourself.
Shroombiosis is a versatile powdered blend that mixes easily into your daily routine. Enjoy it stirred into hot/cold water for a simple drink, blended with coffee or tea, or added to smoothies for a functional boost. Because it’s caffeine-free, you can enjoy it morning, afternoon, or evening. We prefer to take it 1st thing when you wake up as part of your morning ritual before starting your day!
Not at all. Our mushrooms are functional and adaptogenic, not psychedelic. They won’t alter your perception or cause hallucinations. Instead, they’ve been traditionally used for centuries to support focus, energy, gut health, and overall wellness. They’re amazing in their own right — just a different kind of “magic.”
The ingredients in Shroombiosis are generally recognized as safe and natural, but every pregnancy is unique. For that reason, we recommend that you consult your doctor or healthcare provider before adding Shroombiosis (or any supplement) to your routine while pregnant or breastfeeding.
