Privacy Policy

Last updated October 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Shroombiosis LLC (doing business as Shroombiosis, "we", "us") collects, uses and shares personal information through shroombiosis.com. It is effective October 11, 2026.

Checkout is not on this site. Every Buy button takes you to our product page on Die Tryin Co.'s store (dietryin.co). Die Tryin Co. is a separate company that takes payment and ships orders, and its own privacy policy (opens in new tab) covers what happens on its store. This site has no user accounts and takes no payments.

The short version

  • We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used.
  • We use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API to measure our ads and to show our ads to people who have visited our site or bought our product. This means sending Meta identifiers, information about what you do on our site and, if you buy, information from your order. Details are under "Advertising: Meta Pixel and Conversions API" below.
  • We use Klaviyo for our email list, our text messages and our signup forms.
  • If you sign up for texts, we will not share your mobile information or text message opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See "Text messages" below, including how this differs from the phone number on an order you place on Die Tryin's store.
  • Meta, Google and Klaviyo can collect information about your activity over time and across different websites.
  • The Meta Pixel does not load on our pages about medications and drug interactions, pregnancy and women's or reproductive health, or heart and circulation. It does load on our other pages, including general wellness articles. Google Analytics and Klaviyo run on all of these articles. See "Pages about health topics" below.
  • We do not currently respond to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control browser signals.
  • For any question or request, email support@shroombiosis.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Newsletter form: your email address and a short label for the page you signed up from (such as "homepage", "compare" or "contact"), or the page's address if it has no label. Our server passes these to Klaviyo, which asks new subscribers to confirm by email. On pages where the Meta Pixel loads, your browser also sends Meta a Subscribe event when you submit the form, before any confirmation (see below).
  • Discount popup (a Klaviyo form): your email address. The discount code is sent to that address by email. The popup then offers an optional second step to sign up for texts; if you use it, see "Text message signup" below.
  • Homepage discount form: your email address and a label showing you signed up through this form. Our server passes these to Klaviyo, which adds you to the same list as the discount popup and emails you the discount code. After the signup succeeds, your browser also sends your email address to Klaviyo, which links this browser to your Klaviyo profile. That stops the popup offering you the same discount again, and it means the pages you view on our site afterward, including the health-topic pages described below, are linked to your Klaviyo profile. On pages where the Meta Pixel loads, your browser also sends Meta a Subscribe event when the signup succeeds.
  • Text message signup (the optional text step in our discount popup, or texting JOIN to our number): your mobile phone number and a record of your consent to receive texts: when you signed up and how (which of our signup forms you used, or the keyword). See "Text messages" below.
  • Contact form: your name, email address and message. The form is processed by Web3Forms and delivered to our Google Workspace inbox.
  • Emails you send us, and anything you include in them.

We do not ask for your postal address or payment details on this site. We ask for your phone number only when you sign up for texts.

Information collected automatically

When you visit, your browser and the tools on our pages collect:

  • your IP address, browser type, device type and operating system
  • the pages you view (the page address and title), the site that referred you, when you visited, and how you use each page (such as scrolling and clicking links to other sites)
  • ad-click and campaign values in the link you arrived from (fbclid and utm_ parameters)
  • cookie values and other online identifiers (listed in our Cookie Notice)
  • which Buy button you clicked
  • your approximate location (such as city or region), which our providers work out from your IP address

We do not use GPS or collect precise device location.

Information we receive from Die Tryin Co.

Die Tryin's Shopify store sends our server an automatic notification (a webhook) each time an order is placed on its store. The notification contains the full order, including the buyer's email address, name, phone number, address, IP address and browser details. It is sent for every order on Die Tryin's store, not only orders that include our product. Our code checks each order for a Shroombiosis item:

  • No Shroombiosis item: the order is discarded. Nothing from it is used, sent anywhere or kept.
  • Shroombiosis item: we use it to report the purchase to Meta through the Conversions API, described below. We also check whether the order's email address already has a profile in our Klaviyo account, which it does only if you signed up for our emails or texts. If it does, we add a purchase record to that profile: the order number, the number of Shroombiosis items and their value after discounts, the currency, any discount codes used, whether it was a subscription and whether you came from our site. We use it to send you emails about your order (a thank-you with how to use it, a check-in a couple of weeks later and, for one-time orders, a note when you may be running low), to stop sending you an offer for a product you have already bought, and to see which of our emails lead to purchases. These go only to addresses already on our email list, and the unsubscribe link in each one works as usual. If there is no profile, nothing is added and no profile is created.

We do not store orders in a database of our own; the only record we keep is the purchase record on an existing Klaviyo profile, described above. For each Shroombiosis purchase we report, our server log records the order number, the value and currency of the Shroombiosis items, whether an ad-click id was present, how many events Meta accepted, and whether the order matched a Klaviyo profile. If Meta rejects the event, the log records the order number and Meta's error message. The log does not record your name, email address, phone number or street address. Netlify keeps these logs under its own retention rules.

Reviews

We show reviews and testimonials from Judge.me (collected on Die Tryin's store) and from Google, with the reviewer's first name or initial and the review text.

How we use information

  • To run, secure and troubleshoot the site (Netlify server logs).
  • To understand how the site is used (Google Analytics).
  • To measure our ads and build advertising audiences on Meta (Meta Pixel and Conversions API).
  • To send our newsletter, deliver a discount code you asked for, and send the other marketing emails you signed up for, such as reminders about your code, product news and offers (Klaviyo).
  • To note on your Klaviyo profile that you bought, if you are already on our list, so we can email you about that order (a thank-you, a check-in and, for one-time orders, a reorder reminder) and stop sending you an offer you have used (Klaviyo).
  • To send the text messages you signed up for, reply to HELP requests, honor STOP requests and keep a record of your consent (Klaviyo).
  • To answer your messages (Web3Forms and Google Workspace).
  • To display reviews.
  • To carry ad-click and campaign values onto Die Tryin's product link when you click Buy, so a purchase can be credited to the ad or campaign that brought you (the sb_click_ref item in our Cookie Notice).
  • To comply with the law and protect our rights.

We do not collect, use or sell personal information to train large language models or other AI models.

Advertising: Meta Pixel and Conversions API

We share information with Meta Platforms to measure our ads and to decide who sees them.

Meta Pixel. The Pixel loads on most pages of this site. It does not load on the health-topic pages described under "Pages about health topics" below. Where it loads, it sends Meta a PageView event on each page, a ViewContent event on our product page (/products/), a BuyClick event when you click a Buy button, and a Subscribe event when you submit one of our email signup forms. Signing up for our texts does not send Meta any event. Each event carries the page address, the page that referred you, your IP address, browser details and Meta's cookie identifiers (_fbp, and _fbc if you arrived from a Meta ad). The ViewContent and BuyClick events also carry the product name, product ID and price. Our site switches off the Pixel's automatic settings, which would otherwise send Meta the text of buttons you click and information about the page, such as its title, description and structured data. Our Meta account has automatic advanced matching turned on, so the Pixel can also send Meta a hashed copy of contact details you type into forms on our site, such as your email address or name. It is set not to collect phone numbers.

Third parties, including Meta, use cookies, web beacons and similar storage to collect or receive information from our site and from elsewhere on the internet, and use that information to provide measurement services and to target and deliver ads, including showing our ads to people who have visited our site. Meta can combine the information with other information it holds about you, including from other websites and from your Meta accounts, under Meta's privacy policy (opens in new tab).

Our Meta Pixel is also installed on Die Tryin's store, so Meta receives events from Die Tryin's pages, including purchases, for our ad account. Die Tryin's privacy policy covers the rest of what its store collects. The events our Pixel sends from its store go to Meta for our ad account and are covered by this policy too.

Conversions API. When you buy a Shroombiosis product on Die Tryin's store, our server uses the order notification described above to send Meta a purchase event containing:

  • your email address, phone number, first name, last name, city, state, ZIP code and country, each converted with SHA-256 hashing before it is sent
  • your IP address and browser user agent
  • the ad-click id, if one was carried to Die Tryin's store from a Meta ad
  • the order number and the time of the purchase
  • the product IDs and number of the Shroombiosis items in your order, their value after discounts, and the currency

Hashing is not the same as making data anonymous. Meta compares the hashed values with information it already holds so it can link the purchase to a person and to the ad they saw. Because this is sent from our server, cookie and browser settings do not stop it, and it is sent whether or not you visited our site before buying, and whichever pages you visited.

Under some US state laws, our use of the Meta Pixel and Conversions API may be treated as a "sale" of personal data, as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, or as "targeted advertising". This never includes your text message opt-in data or consent status (see "Text messages").

Analytics: Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4. It sets cookies (_ga and _ga_9TPL8BK9RR) to count visitors and visits. It records the pages you view (their address and title), a buy_click event (which Buy button you clicked and the link it points to, including any ad-click and campaign values added to that link), a sign_up event when you submit one of our email signup forms (naming which form you used; it is never sent when you sign up for texts), and, through Google's enhanced measurement, events such as scrolling and clicks on links to other websites. Our Google Analytics tag is set to turn off Google signals and ad personalization. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses, but Google does receive your IP address whenever your browser contacts its servers.

Learn how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services (opens in new tab). To stop Google Analytics in your browser, use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (opens in new tab).

Pages about health topics

Some of our articles cover health topics. We do not ask you for health information, but the address of a page tells a provider which article you read.

Where the Meta Pixel does not load. The Meta Pixel is not loaded on our articles about medications and drug interactions (including GLP-1 medications), about pregnancy and women's or reproductive health (such as the menstrual cycle), or about heart and circulation, or on our Women's Health and Men's Health topic pages (/tags/womens-health/ and /tags/mens-health/). On those pages no Meta script runs, the Meta cookies are not set or read, and no Meta Pixel events (PageView, ViewContent, BuyClick or Subscribe) are sent.

What still runs on those pages. Google Analytics runs as it does on every other page, so the address and title of each of these pages are sent to Google with its cookie identifiers and your IP address. Klaviyo's on-site script also runs there and can receive the address of the page you are on, with its __kla_id identifier and your IP address. If you have signed up for our emails or texts, or clicked a link in one of them, Klaviyo can link the pages you view on our site to your Klaviyo profile. The sb_click_ref item also still works; it only changes our Buy links and does not contact Meta.

Everywhere else. The Meta Pixel loads on all our other pages, including general wellness articles on topics such as gut health, probiotics, immunity, energy, focus and calm. Some of those articles mention medications, pregnancy or other health conditions in passing. On those pages, the page address is sent to Meta and to Google with their cookie identifiers and your IP address. Google also receives each page's title. Klaviyo runs on those pages too.

Turning the Pixel off on these pages does not change what happens when you buy: purchases are still reported to Meta through the Conversions API and by our Pixel on Die Tryin's store, as described above.

Who receives information

  • Google: Google Analytics; Google Fonts, which the Klaviyo signup form loads from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com; Google Workspace, which hosts our email; and Google Voice, which runs our support line and holds the texts, calls and voicemails you send to it.
  • Meta Platforms: the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, as described above.
  • Klaviyo: our email list, text messages, signup forms and on-site tracking.
  • Messaging providers and wireless carriers: the messaging companies Klaviyo uses and the wireless carriers deliver the texts you signed up for.
  • Web3Forms: our contact form.
  • Netlify: hosts the site and runs our server functions.
  • Die Tryin Co.: when you click Buy, Die Tryin's store receives any ad-click and campaign values we add to the link, plus whatever its own store collects. If you did not arrive with campaign values of your own, we label the link with the section of our site you clicked from (for example "blog" or "products", never the name of the article) and which Buy button you used. Die Tryin is also the source of the order data described above.
  • Others, when required: authorities or other parties when the law requires it or to protect rights and safety, and a buyer or successor if our business or its assets are sold or transferred.

Tracking over time and across websites

Meta, Google and Klaviyo may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use our site.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Our site does not currently respond to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control (opens in new tab) signals. The same tags load whether or not your browser sends them. The site also has no cookie banner or cookie settings panel.

Your choices

  • Marketing email: use the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, or email us.
  • Text messages: reply STOP to any of our texts, or email us.
  • Cookies and browser storage: block or delete them in your browser settings. The site works without them. Our Cookie Notice lists each one and links to browser instructions.
  • Google Analytics: the opt-out browser add-on (opens in new tab).
  • Meta: your ad preferences (opens in new tab) and activity off Meta technologies (opens in new tab) settings in Meta's Accounts Center.
  • Tracker blockers: browser extensions, or browsers with tracking protection, can stop these tags from loading.
  • Industry opt-out pages: the Digital Advertising Alliance (opens in new tab) and the Network Advertising Initiative (opens in new tab). These only affect companies that take part in those programs.

None of these browser tools stops the Conversions API, because that purchase event is built from Die Tryin's order data on our server. We cannot currently exclude an individual order from it. To ask us about it, email us (see "Your privacy requests" below).

Email

You join our email list through the newsletter form, the discount popup or the discount form on our homepage. The two discount forms add you to a separate list from the newsletter, and the discount code is sent by email. If you also sign up for texts in the popup, our welcome text includes the same code. At the time of this update, if you don't already get our emails, the newsletter form emails you a link to confirm, and you are not added to the newsletter list until you click it. Both discount forms add you to their list straight away, without a confirmation email.

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. When you unsubscribe, we keep your address on a do-not-email list so you are not emailed again, unless you ask us to delete it. Klaviyo may record whether our emails are opened and which links are clicked. We do not rent out our email list, and we do not give it to other companies for their own marketing.

Text messages

You can sign up for Shroombiosis text messages through the optional text step in our discount popup, or by texting JOIN to our number. Our Text Message Terms explain what we send, how often, what it costs and how to stop.

What we collect. Your mobile phone number, stored in our Klaviyo account; a record of your consent (when you signed up and how: which of our signup forms you used, or the keyword); the texts you send us, such as STOP, HELP or a reply; and whether our texts were delivered and which links in them were clicked. When you sign up through our form or click a link in one of our texts, Klaviyo recognizes your browser, so the pages you view on our site afterward, including the health-topic pages described above, are linked to your Klaviyo profile.

How we use it. To send the marketing texts you asked for (product news, offers and discounts, and new articles), answer HELP requests, honor STOP requests, keep a record of when and how you consented and opted out, and see which of our texts people find useful.

Sharing. We will not share your mobile information or text message opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from every other category of sharing in this policy, including the advertising and analytics sharing described above. We will not share this information with any third parties, except the service providers that send, deliver and receive our texts for us: Klaviyo, the messaging companies Klaviyo uses to send them, the wireless carriers that carry them and, if you text or call our support line, Google Voice.

Text message opt-in data means the mobile number and consent you give us through our text message signup, and the record of the texts we exchange with you. We never add it to the purchase events described under "Conversions API". Those events are built only from Die Tryin's order records, which can include the phone number you enter at checkout.

Stopping texts. Reply STOP to any of our texts, or email us. When you opt out, we add your number to our do-not-text list and keep it there, with the record of your consent and opt-out, for at least ten years so you are not texted again. If you ask us to delete your information, we delete the rest of your profile but keep your number, the record of when and how you signed up, and your opt-out date on that list, because we are required to keep a record of requests not to be contacted and may need to show that you agreed to our texts. A request to delete your information also stops our texts. Our Do-Not-Text Policy explains how we handle requests to stop.

How long we keep information

  • Klaviyo profiles (including your phone number and text consent record, if you signed up for texts): until you ask us to delete them. If you only unsubscribe, your address or number stays on a do-not-email or do-not-text list. A number that has opted out of texts stays on the do-not-text list, with the record of when and how it signed up and when it opted out, for at least ten years, even if you ask us to delete the rest of your profile.
  • Contact messages: in our Google Workspace inbox for as long as we need them to answer you and keep a record of the conversation. Web3Forms, which relays the form, handles its copy under its own policy.
  • Google Analytics: user-level and event-level data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, which is no more than 14 months. Aggregated reports are kept longer.
  • Netlify server logs: kept by Netlify under its own retention rules.
  • Die Tryin order data: not stored by us, except the order number, reported value and currency in our server logs (see above), which Netlify keeps under its own retention rules.
  • Data sent to Meta and Google: kept by those companies under their own policies.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information, including HTTPS across the site and a signature check so that only Die Tryin's store can send us order notifications. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information sent to or from our site.

Children

This site is not directed to children, and our product is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Your privacy requests

Email support@shroombiosis.com to:

  • find out what personal information we hold about you and get a copy
  • correct it
  • delete it
  • stop marketing email or texts
  • ask us to stop using your personal data for targeted advertising. For information we can tie to your email address, such as your Klaviyo profile, we will stop using it for advertising or delete it if you ask. We cannot find Google Analytics or Meta Pixel data from your name or email address, so for that data use the controls under "Your choices". We cannot currently stop an individual purchase from being reported to Meta through the Conversions API.

What we hold. Your Klaviyo profile (email address, signup source, email activity, your phone number and text consent and message activity if you signed up for texts, any on-site activity Klaviyo has linked to it, and any purchase records added from Die Tryin's orders) and any messages you have sent us. Our hosting provider's logs also hold IP addresses and the pages requested, and for purchases our server log holds the order number and order value. Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel identify browsers by cookie values rather than by name, so we usually cannot find that data from your name or email address alone; the browser and Meta controls under "Your choices" act on it directly. Purchase events we send through the Conversions API contain your hashed contact details; Meta holds them and we do not keep a copy. Order, payment and shipping records are held by Die Tryin Co., so send requests about those to Die Tryin.

How we handle requests. Comprehensive state privacy laws may not apply to a business of our size. We handle these requests voluntarily. Where a privacy law that applies to us gives you a right, we will honor it as that law requires.

  • We verify your identity, usually by confirming that you control the email address the request is about.
  • We respond within 45 days.
  • An authorized agent may make a request for you with your signed permission. We may ask you to confirm your identity directly.
  • We will not treat you differently for making a request.
  • If we decline a request, we will tell you why. You can appeal by replying with "Appeal" in the subject line, and we will answer within 60 days. If you are still not satisfied, you can contact your state attorney general.

Nevada residents can send a request that we not sell their covered information to support@shroombiosis.com. We will respond within 60 days.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If we want to use information we have already collected in a materially different way, we will ask for your consent where the law requires it.
